Snow Thrower / fan blade is not spinning.?
Hello, I have a machine of 5.5 yards per HP MTD snow thrower that was working fine but I think I hit a rock this winter. Now, the blade is not spinning. Begins well, but when I pull the bar to make the copy, which does not rotate. I think it was working for a while even after the accident, but now does not work. Can you please advise whether it can fix and where to start? Thank you very much for your help.
You have broken the screw (s) that connect the blades to the drive shaft. Depending on the model can be a single screw, the larger models have two. This is a quick fix and simple. You'll have to check your owners manual to locate the part number or you can check online. The part itself costs between $ 5 and $ 7 if you can find a place that sells the part where you can pick up, otherwise you will have to pay shipping and will probably cost more than the part itself.
