Children everywhere delight in the mystery of Santa Claus. The age old letter to Santa can be a wonderful way for children to express their ideas and desires.

Before writing a letter to Santa, take a moment to think about what you really want to include in the letter of Christmas wishes. Are there some things besides toys, which could wishes to be worth? Was it good or bad it is needed most this year? Did you get good grades in school?

Hence, let's get into the mood to write to Santa Claus. Put on a favorite CD of Christmas, something lively with many sounds of jingling bells. Why not add a cup of hot chocolate with a candy cane stirrer. Get a piece of paper and a pencil (just in case you need to change some things), and let's begin.

Start by print or type your name and address on the top right corner of the page. Always write clearly, so Santa will be able to read what wrote.

Begin your letter with "Dear Santa Claus." It is always a good idea to tell Santa a little about yourself. He has many children to remember, and it does not hurt to refresh your mind. Tell him if you've been good or bad, because you do not want to Santa IFF.

Add to somethings that did that were special, or helped others. Things like, help someone learn to read, or the color of the lines, or perhaps helped his grandmother and grandfather working in his garden or mowing the lawn.

Do not forget to thank Santa for things that brought him last year. Now is the time to tell Santa what you want for Christmas and why. Keep your list short, and only put things on the list that you really want. If there are some things you'd like Santa to bring for your family, be sure to add these to your list.

You may want to end his letter by wishing all Santa's reindeer, elves, and Mrs. Santa Claus a Merry Christmas. Your letter could be something like this:

Cindy Cinnamon
123 N. Candy Cane RD.
Glacier, MT 99,999

Dear Santa,

It's me, Cindy! I was very well this year, and helped my mom fold laundry. I tried to keep my room clean and always keep my toys. I helped my grandmother flowers of the plant, and me and my grandfather went fishing and raking leaves.

This is what I want for Christmas:
1. A bicycle with training wheels
2. A fishing pole
3. Huge trucks
4. A pink teddy bear
5. Computer games
6. Make-Up Set
7. Jewelry

My grandmother is cold in winter, and I would bring him a new sweater. My grandfather received a lot of snow and would like a snow blower.

Cookies and milk will be waiting for you. And, no popcorn in the kitchen for the reindeer. Tell the elves and Mrs. Santa Claus that I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Thanks for all the things that brought me last year, Santa.

Love,
Cindy

When you finish your letter, put in an envelope and address, or your mom or Dad will help. The letter can be sent to:
